Gladstone Vineyard
Established in 1986, Gladstone Vineyard has been owner operated by Christine and David Kernohan since 1996. Born in Glasgow Scotland, they emigrated to New Zealand 30 years ago.
Gladstone Vineyard has an established reputation as a quality boutique wine producer, making award winning wines of finesse and complexity. The principle varieties are Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, all produced under the flagship Gladstone Vineyard label. They also produce a dry Riesling, a Rosé and the ‘Auld Alliance’ – their premier Bordeaux style wine. Their 12,000 Miles range of wines complements the existing Gladstone range and expresses our fruit-driven winemaking philosophy.
Since its inception, Gladstone Vineyard has been a member of the New Zealand sustainable Winegrowing programme, focussing on best practices in winegrape production. Gladstone is an accredited vineyard and winery.
Gladstone Vineyard is also home to the Gladstone Vineyard Café where award winning Chef Zane Saba and team produce find food matched with our Gladstone wines in relaxed surroundings, whether inside around the cosy log fire or outdoors in the sheltered garden area over looking the vines. The Café is open Thursday – Sunday 11am – 4pm. Group bookings available for your special functions.
The Gladstone Vineyard Apartment is a beautifully appointed self contained apartment situated above the old winery offering commanding views of the vineyard whilst enjoying luxury accommodation for two. Package deals that include supplies for a country style cooked breakfast, a bottle of Gladstone wine, winery tours and tastings, late check out, and also a luxury Pamper package deal.

The Cellar door is open for tasting and wine sales Tuesday – Sunday 11am – 4pm all year round.
