3 Terraces Wines

This 23 acre vineyard, established in 2000 produced its first harvest in 2003.  Situated on Dakins Road in the heart of the Gladstone Valley the soil type and climatic conditions are ideal for producing low yielding premium quality grapes. 

What is now the vineyard, was thousands of years ago riverbed.  Overtime earthquakes have created the three terraces which are now covered in their own distinct soils of thick gravels and silt.  The vineyard is planted with selection os Pinot Noir (75%), Pinot Gris (15%) and Sauvignon Blanc (10%) grapes.

Vineyard management concentrates on producing high quality, low yielding fruit, with the aim of making premium cool climate wines which are expressions of their local environment.

2006 Gladstone Pinot Noir  4 ½ stars and equal best wine in $25-$30 category, Winestate Magazine. Bronze medal Bragato Awards.
2007 Gladstone Pinot Noir, Bronze medal Royal Easter Show, Silver medal Wairarapa Regional tasting.
